Day one hundred four
Day one hundred four

It’s been rumored that some weird weather is coming to Rhodes, but nobody knew when. Until Wind Guru showed us the wind turning to the North. North winds are more common in September month. They are quite unstable, but bring huge waves into the bay of Ixia. Also this wind is blowing completely onshore, so it’s not so easy to get started out there.

Not many people even dare to go out in the days like this, and not all of the daredevils can make it behind the shore break. But those who made it out can truly put their skills and their gear to the test. Massive ramps, rolling waves will keep you on your toes for sure. But be careful on your way out! If you don’t time it right, your gear will finish in the washing machine and you’ll be lucky to see it in one piece.

So for a couple of days all the life on the beach slowed down. Beached jets skies, howling wind and the never ending sound of shore break crushing on the pebble beach…

But the wind cooled down, changed it direction and people came back to the beach. The marathon starts all over again: The lessons fill the station timetable and the jet skies are rolling there and back no-stop. Life on the beach gets back on its tracks once again.
